What is the Mat Crafter build?
Every cover is a premium dual-layer construction. The playing surface is a high-quality velvet cloth, while the underside features a stitched polyester backing. This combination provides a luxurious feel for your cards and dice while ensuring the mat has the weight and stability to stay flat on your table.
Are the edges stitched?
The polyester backing itself is stitched for durability. The mat edges feature a clean, low-profile finish. This ensures a smooth, seamless transition from the mat to the tabletop without a raised border interfering with gameplay.
What are the standard sizes?
24″ x 24″
30″ x 30″
4′ x 2.5′
Do you offer custom sizing?
Yes. We can accommodate custom dimensions up to 60″ in width and up to 204″ in length. Please contact us for a specific quote on unique table shapes.
How do you ensure my image looks crisp?
We don’t just print your file as-is. We run every custom image through an AI upscaler to enhance detail. Following the upscale, the image is manually edited in Photoshop to ensure that even normal-sized images come out looking sharp and vibrant (provided they aren’t extremely compressed small thumbnails).
What is the “Safe Zone” for my artwork?
To ensure your design is perfectly framed, please keep all critical text, logos, and gameplay icons at least 1/4″ (0.25 inches) away from the edges of the mat.
Do you offer gameplay templates?
Yes. We offer optional overlays for popular TCGs and TTRPGs, including MTG & YGO layouts (Deck, Graveyard, Exile, Command Zone, etc.).
Can I commission a completely custom game board?
Absolutely. We offer custom Photoshop services and commissioned art for whatever your personal gaming table needs. Contact us directly for a custom art commission form.
Is the mat machine-washable?
Yes. You can safely wash your mat in a washing machine using a gentle cycle with cold water. This preserves the velvet texture and the vibrancy of the print.
How should I dry and store my mat?
Drying: Always air dry by laying the mat flat.
Storage: For best results, roll your mat rather than folding it to prevent long-term creasing.
How do I remove wrinkles or creases?
Our mats are naturally wrinkle-resistant due to the weighted backing, but if a crease occurs:
Use a hand steamer. A quick pass with steam will relax the fibers allowing them to flatten.
If you must use an iron, use the lowest heat setting and place a towel or thin cloth over the mat first. Never apply direct heat from the iron to the velvet or backing.
